The Building People are recruiting for a Director, Mission Support Services and Workforce Transformation . This position will lead and carry out the strategic and tactical implementation of a portfolio of work in the Mission Support Services & WTOD business line. The Director is the primary lead and company representative for all business and client relationships, personnel management, and product oversight within his or her portfolio. He/she will be expected to operate with autonomy and minimal oversight and will report directly to the Vice President of the business unit, or acting Lead for the business unit. The Director is responsible for driving business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities, building relationships with clients and partners, and developing strategies to increase revenue within target markets of DOD, VA, DHS, NASA, and/or GSA. The Mission Support Service business unit provides critical professional services support to its federal clients to support the execution of their agency’s mission.
This position would direct the organization to ensure the attainment of financial and operational goals within the business unit in support of the company’s overall financial and strategic objectives.
The Director will also guide and mentor program management and individual contributors within the portfolio. This role is also responsible for planning, developing and directing a number of projects concurrently, marketing and business development activities, growing the company’s credibility in the Mission Support Services & WTOD Delivery environment and working closely with the firm’s Leadership to ensure The Building People corporate goals and guidelines are maintained. Establishes budgets, short- and long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success. Administers the organization’s policies through subordinate managers and directs and coordinates activities of more than one contract (or one more complex and larger contract). Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the division/business unit.
