We are seeking a Security Monitor to support a large facility maintenance program management team. We are seeking a vigilant and highly responsible Security Monitor to safeguard personnel, property, and assets within a secured environment. The Security Monitor will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, patrolling the premises, controlling access to restricted areas, and responding to security incidents in accordance with established protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security procedures, situational awareness, and the ability to assess and respond to potential threats in a high-security environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor to detect unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or security breaches.
  • Conduct regular perimeter checks and patrols to ensure the integrity of the base's security infrastructure.
  • Track and document all incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Enforce access control procedures to ensure that only authorized personnel enter secure areas.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and clearances for military personnel, contractors, and visitors.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access or removal of restricted materials.
  • Respond quickly to alarms, disturbances, and suspicious behavior to assess and mitigate potential threats.
  • Follow established protocols to report and escalate incidents
  • Assist in emergency situations such as evacuations, fires, medical emergencies, and active threats.
  • Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols along the base perimeter and critical facilities.
  • Inspect fences, gates, locks, and barriers to ensure that all security measures are intact.
  • Identify and report vulnerabilities in physical security systems or operational procedures.
  • Enforce compliance with site regulations, policies, and protocols.
  • Follow procedures for classified information protection and ensure adherence to security clearance guidelines.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and security policies to prevent unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of incidents, security breaches, and patrol activities.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and submit them to security supervisors and base command as required.
  • Provide briefings to incoming security personnel during shift changes.
Basic Qualifications
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • Duties may include performing both repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations, working from diagrams and drawings, and using hand an power tools.
  • Works to achieve day to day objectives consisting of tasks that are typically routine, with some deviation from standard practice. Works under moderate supervision for routine tasks.
  • Resolves routine problems and issues, without clearly prescribed solutions. Checks and makes minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems.
  • Communicates with colleagues within own project/ work area to obtain or provide information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
  • Has substantial understanding of job requirements and overall function.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 - 3 years of prior relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Military background, preferably in a Military Police (MP), Security Forces (SF), or Force Protection role.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, or CPR.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) security regulations and physical security

Pay Range:
Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
