What You'll Do
- Lead with Insight: Analyze and assess risk for new and renewal employer group contracts across a diverse book of business - including multiple product types, funding arrangements, and rating methodologies.
- Deliver Results: Prepare and present complex quotes and renewals with precision and confidence.
- Own the Process: Use advanced underwriting tools and systems to produce accurate, timely deliverables that align with strategic goals.
- Drive Strategy: Collaborate with sales, claims, and customer service teams to develop tailored underwriting strategies based on market trends and business objectives.
- Mentor & Guide: Share your expertise by mentoring peers, reviewing work for accuracy, and identifying training opportunities.
- Ensure Compliance: Conduct audits, track allowances, and ensure all financials are accurate and aligned with compliance standards.
- Innovate & Improve: Lead or contribute to projects focused on automation, process improvement, and operational excellence.
What You Bring - Proven experience in underwriting with increasing levels of complexity.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Confidence in presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for mentoring and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications:
- 5-7 years underwriting experience (this is a must have)
- Experience working independently and problem solving
Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years' experience in underwriting/accounting pricing methodologies and funding arrangements.
- Demonstrated success prioritizing work and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize analytical and independent thinking skills.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations.
Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $159,120.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
